As the cold weather starts to clear and the world starts to turn green again, we’ve been looking at the top colour trends for this spring to help you make your home feel brighter and more refreshed for the new season. As you come out of hibernation after a long, cold winter, you might feel like it’s time to brush away the cobwebs and give your house a new lease of life with lighter spring colours.
Pantone have released their top 10 colours for spring 2017 and we’ve chosen our favourites to tell you more about and let you know how you can incorporate them into your own home easily. Here are our top five colours for this season.
1. Hazelnut
If you’re going for a more neutral look that will stay on-trend as the seasons come and go, Hazelnut is a key colour. Its natural warmth and earthiness will brighten any room and match most decor styles. It’s a great transitional colour that connects the seasons together with its versatility and, due to its neutral nature, will fit into any room in the home without imposing on or affecting existing decor. If you’re looking to add colour to your neutral colour scheme, our Sand Roller Blind or Soft Truffle Roller Blind could be a great solution, helping you to inject more colour into your room.
2. Greenery
Greenery is our most refreshing colour and, according to Pantone, THE colour for 2017. You might want to be brave and create a feature wall in your room or, if you’re after a more subtle approach, you can introduce it into your room with soft furnishings and decorations. Bring the outside in this spring and enjoy a fresher, cleaner look with this colour scheme. Our Apple Green Venetian Blind will add a fresh look to any kitchen, or why not try our Fresh Apple Roller Blind to inject colour into your bedroom?
3.Niagara
Niagara is a calming, classic blue. Use it to bring in a bit of calm and tranquillity to your bedroom or bathroom. We all want to return home from work to somewhere we can wind down and relax after the stresses of the day and Niagara is the perfect colour for this. We have a range of blue hues to help you create a more relaxing retreat at home.
4. Island Paradise
Another refreshing blue colour, Island Paradise will help you to bring a change of scenery to your home. With the summer holidays and warmer weather still seeming so far away, you might want to include something a little different at home to give the illusion of lazy beach days. Think about your tropical island and escape whilst enjoying this refreshing colour. Make your bathroom look more like a beach hut with our Lupin Venetian Blind or Oceanic Blue Venetian Blind.
5. Pale Dogwood
The last of our favourite colours for spring is Pale Dogwood, another tranquil and peaceful colour. A shade of pink that’s not too imposing and offers a warm glow, Pale Dogwood is a subtle colour that will make you feel at home at any time of year and make you look forward to lazy spring days and longer nights. Why not add our Soft Truffle Roller Blind to your bedroom to bring extra warmth and comfort?
These are our favourite colours for this Spring and we’re sure they’re going to become extremely popular. Many designers still prefer a more neutral look but these colours are neutral whilst also offering warmth, depth, calm and peace. If you’d like to try some of the colours and effects at home, a new set of blinds can offer you a great refresh without having to take on a huge amount of DIY.
